Dr Giles Kent

Partner - MB ChB MRCGP DFSRH BA(Hons)

Dr Kent qualified in 2003 from Leeds Medical School. He did his GP training in York. He joined the practice in 2008. He is the Senior Partner and Clinical Governance lead for the practice. His specialist interests are minor surgery and COPD.

Dr Siân Hartry

Partner - MBBS BSc DRCOG DFSRH MRCGP (2010)

Dr Hartry qualified in 2005 from Imperial College Medical School in London. She completed her GP specialty training in Brighton, working there for several years before moving to Cheshire in 2014. She became a partner at the practice in 2021. She lives in Chester with her husband and 2 children.

Dr Hartry works full-time at the surgery and has particular interests in ENT problems, women's health and menopause. She is the practice safeguarding lead. 

 

Dr Abigail Oliver

Salaried GP - MB ChB DFFP DRCOG MRCGP

Dr Oliver was brought up in Tarporley from the age of four. She qualified from Birmingham University in 2001 and then worked in hospitals and GP Practices in the West Midlands for 10 years. She moved back to Cheshire with her family in 2011 and joined Tarporley Health Centre in 2012. She is glad to be back home!

Dr Deborah Lister

Salaried GP - MB ChB DRCOG MRCGP

Dr Lister originally came from the East Midlands and qualified from Liverpool Medical School in 1991. She did a three year training scheme from General Practice at Glan Clwyd Hospital and two nearby GP practices. She then moved to the South East and worked in GP practices in Chiswick and then St. Albans. She began working in Tarporley in 2001 and is part-time. Dr Lister lives in Farndon with her husband, three children and their dog.

Dr Sarah Brown

Salaried GP - MBBCh, DRCOG, MRCGP

Dr Brown qualified from Cardiff University in 2011. She worked in Wales for two years followed by two years in New Zealand. On her return she moved to Chester to complete her GP training and lives there with her Husband and three children.

Dr Rebecca Hall

Dr Hall completed a BSc in Medical Genetics at Leicester University before completing her five year medical degree, also at Leicester. Dr Hall lived in Nantwich for many years and has been a salaried GP for five years and love’s what she does. She has two small children who keep her busy in her spare time! Dr Hall has a wide interest in many aspects of general practice such as women’s health, mental health and child’s health; but also has a keen interest in dermatology, specifically skin lesions.

Dr Bate is from Chester originally, graduating from Bristol Medical School in 2007. She has completed her general practice training in and around Chester and now lives in Frodsham with her family.

Emma Crowe

RGN, RSCN, MSc Advanced Clinical Practice

Emma is a registered nurse, with extra qualifications, trained to access, diagnose and treat patients attending primary healthcare with a range of acute, non-acute and chronic medical conditions. Emma can prescribe medication for any condition within her competence, make treatment decisions, including ordering necessary investigations and refer patients to members of the multi-disciplinary team, as appropriate.

Karolina Wadolowska

Clinical Pharmacist

Karolina is a clinical pharmacist and independent prescriber dedicated to making health management simpler and more accessible for patients.

She holds a Pharmacy degree from Poznan University of Medical Sciences (2019), an Independent Prescriber qualification from the University of Chester (2022) and a Bachelors in Biology from Georgian Court University (2015). 

With a background in primary care and community pharmacy, Karolina is passionate about helping patients feel informed and confident about their treatments, along with answering any medication questions they may have. Karolina can also prescribe medication for most conditions. 

Outside of work Karolina can be found running with her dog Honey, or discovering a new eatery in the North West! 

Kelly Edge

Pharmacy Technician - NVQ 3

Kelly has worked in Pharmacy for 17+ years and has been here with us in Tarporley Health Centre for three years. She qualified as a Technician in 2014 and as an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician in 2017. She has worked in both Community and Hospital Pharmacy before joining our practice in 2021, as part of the medicines management team, alongside our pharmacist Karolina.

Kelly's role involves medication reconcilliation, counselling patients on taking their medication or any side effects patients may experience.

Kelly has a love for crafting and has recently started sewing.

Dispensary

We are a dispensing practice and can dispense medication to patients who live more than a mile from the nearest chemist. We have three well stocked dispensaries in Tarporley, Tarvin and Waverton.

Community Nurses

The District Nursing Service is provided by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP). District Nurses provide professional care to meet the needs of the housebound or when there is a nursing need that makes a home visit appropriate. District Nursing provides care 7 days a week, including an evening and night service, however, they are not an emergency service and all their calls are prioritised according to need. Community Midwives

Community Midwives deliver your antenatal and postnatal care in the community. They provide care from your first appointment in pregnancy to around 14 days after the birth of your baby. You will have a named Midwife to co-ordinate your care however you may see other members of the midwifery team.

Your local health visiting team is provided by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP). The health visiting service offers a range of support and advice to help children up to the age of 5 get off to the best start.
