Ordering Repeat Prescriptions

The easiest ways to order repeat prescriptions are:

  • Patient Access or NHS account/NHS App – this is the most secure way to order your repeat prescriptions, it removes the chance of any mistakes being made and the request goes straight to the GP.
  • E-mail your request and please include your full name, date of birth, address and the full list of items you require to:

Tarporley:  cmicb-cheshire.tarporleyrepeatscripts@nhs.net

Tarvin: cmicb-cheshire.tarvinscripts@nhs.net

Waverton: cmicb-cheshire.wavertonscripts@nhs.net

***Please Note the repeat prescription e-mail address is only to be used for ordering repeat prescriptions***

The NHS account / app will show you all your repeat medicine and dosage and you can choose the ones you need.

You can also:

  • If you are a dispensing patient please remember to write in the message box on screen which surgery you wish to collect your prescriptions from, before submitting your request.
  • Repeat Prescription Box – post your request in the repeat prescription box in reception.
  • Post your request to us – please ensure the envelope is clearly marked “Repeat Prescriptions – Dr Campbell and Partners” – if you need your prescription posting back to you please enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
  • For telephone prescriptions please phone between the hours of 9.00am to 12.00pm Monday to Friday – Please do not phone the surgery before 9am.

Collecting your Prescription

You can usually collect your prescription from the pharmacy 3 to 5 working days after you have ordered it.

You will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.

You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:

  • On the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions
  • At your GP practice
  • At any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions

Dispensary Information

We are a Dispensing practice and can dispense medication to patients who live more than a mile from the nearest chemist.  We have three well stocked dispensaries in Tarporley, Tarvin and Waverton.

Go to our Dispensary Information page for opening times of each dispensary

Electronic Prescription Service

The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is an NHS service. It gives you the chance to change how your GP sends your prescription to the place you choose to get your medicines or appliances from.

What does this mean for you?

You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop.

Questions about your Prescription

We have a Clinical Pharmacist, who is responsible for dealing with any medication queries.  Please contact our Tarporley Surgery to arrange a telephone or face to face appointment with her. Our Clinical Pharmacist can also give you a full medication review and answer questions about symptoms caused by your medication.

If you have general questions about your medicine, your local pharmacists can answer these. They can also answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.

The NHS website has information on how your medicine works, how and when to take it, possible side effects and answers to your common questions.

Medication Reviews

If you have a repeat prescription, we may ask you to come in for a regular review. We will be in touch when you need to come in for a review.

What to do with old Medicines

Take it to the pharmacy you got it from or bring it in to the surgery. Do not put it in your household bin or flush it down the toilet.
